What are the dangers of fluoride and water fluoridation? Is fluoridated water safe? How does fluoride affect a diabetic? Why is fluoride in our water supplies?
Fluoride causes cancer. This is a fact ignored, or refuted by the National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society, and many others. These organizations dance around the question of whether fluoride causes cancer. Who are they covering up for?
“Fluoride is more toxic than lead and only slightly less toxic than arsenic.” -- Barry Groves, Author of Fluoride: Drinking Ourselves to Death
Fluoride is used in atomic bomb production. During the first production of the atom bomb, workers had to switch from nailed boots to rubber boots, as the fluoride ate the nails. These workers were also prone to loosing all their teeth, due to excess fluoride exposure.
Our government covered up the dangers of fluoride, and actually put out stories that fluoride was safe. Accidental releases of fluoride in New Jersey, killed fruit trees, made humans, and animals ill. Dairy cows were so sick they lay on the ground and crawled on their bellies to eat grass.
The Epa’s Union of Scientists took a stand opposing fluoride in 1999. This was because they felt the EPA was bending to political pressure, and writing opinions that were not ethical. Since then their opposition has grown. Source:www.nofluoride.com/epa_hirzy_letter.htm
"And if the FDA violates its own laws who is left to protect the health of the public?" -- FDA Senior Scientist and Toxicologist
In 1995 a study done on rats found that female rats given fluoride produced hyperactive offspring for life. Is it any wonder we have so many hyperactive children today?
“Fluoride is a corrosive poison that will produce serious effects on a long range basis. Any attempt to use water this way is deplorable.” -- Dr. Charles Gordon Heyd, Past President of the American Medical Association
Fluoride is in many more areas than just water. Fluoride in in many juices like apple, and grape juice. Back in 1991 a study published in The Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry tested for fluoride in 43 prepared fruit juices. 42% of the samples had more than 1 ppm of fluoride.
Before fluoride was put in water and toothpaste it was used as an extremely effective rat poison, and as an insecticide. Once the lie of fluoride prevents tooth decay came out, then it was added to water and toothpaste.
In reality excess fluoride consumption causes dental fluorosis. This is an irreversible damaging of the enamel causing cells in our teeth. A child’s teeth are alive and growing. Fluoride damages the teeth’s cells as well as other cells in the body.
“It is illogical to assume that tooth enamel is the only tissue affected by low daily doses of fluoride ingestion.” -- Dr. Hardy Limeback, Head of Preventive Dentistry, University of Toronto
Adding fluoride to water supplies has created a great market for a previous waste by-product of copper, iron, and aluminum manufacturing. In the 30’s a study by an aluminum producer found that aluminum prevented tooth decay. Very convenient!
Diabetes and Fluoride
Children with diabetes are extremely susceptible to dental fluorosis. Is fluoride a cause of diabetes? The link has not been found, yet. Fluoride does inhibit the breakdown of glucose into energy. Fluoride increases your risk from the damages of heavy metals.
90% of the fluoride you swallow is retained in your bones, and teeth. The solution for this is to not swallow fluoride. For me this means filtering my water and using fluoride free toothpaste.
Does Fluoride Dumb Down Kids?
Exposure to fluoride may lower children's intelligence says a study pre-published in Environmental Health Perspectives, a publication of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
In this study the authors looked at the fluoride levels in children’s blood, not just in the water. The authors after extensive screening compared intelligence levels of two cities children in China. In the high fluoride city 15% of the children tested as mentally retarded. This study exposed another of the dangers of fluoride: You may have dumber children.
The study authors write: “In this study we found a significant dose-response relation between fluoride level in serum and children's IQ.”
